Got burned shorting First Solar
As most of my readers know I have been short First Solar (Nasdaq: FSLR) for a while now. I was successful in shorting First Solar the first time but got burned the second time. Let’s just say that I am down more than 50% shorting First Solar.

Well, I am still short First Solar. I actually bought a few put options the last two days during the run-up. I am still astonished how this stock just keeps going up. At some point it has to go down and I think it will be closer to May when the 6 month IPO lock-up period ends and we see insider selling. My puts expire after May so we will see what happens. Are you long FSLR or considering shorting it?

hi, i am amazed as well. short for sure. do you know what the analyst projections for 2007/8 are? revenue and EPS?
not sure if insider selling will stop the stock going forward.
