I am officially adding iRobot Corporation to the ‘My Recommendations’ List.
In my last article, I highlighted iRobot as one of the companies I would like to look into investing long term. I also mentioned that I would not recommend and hold my judgment until after they release earnings. The earnings were […]
iRobot (Nasdaq: IRBT) is one of those companies you look at and feel like it might revolutionize the future for both Consumer and Military Robotics. The company does cutting edge work in the field of Robotics and has both consumer and military robots in its arsenal. Roomba vacuum cleaner is one of their consumer robots that vacuums carpets and the new Scooba washes your floors for you. They also have a number of military robots that are being used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
With the recent selloff in Big Tech and Internet stocks, this might be the right time to find the bottom and getting into these stocks. Either bad earnings or future outlook has caused big selloffs in Yahoo(YHOO), Apple(AAPL), Ebay(EBAY) and Intel(INTC).
Happy New Year! It was a great start to 2006 with both NASDAQ and Dow Jones up big today. Nasdaq rose by almost 39 points to 2243 with Dow Jones rising almost 130 points to 10,847. Although, I am excited about 2006 I still don’t have a good feel about what to expect in 2006. Following are a few stocks I am researching right now:
Alvarion (Nasdaq: ALVR), in a press release reported that they received a $7 Million order from a major Latin American Operator. The order could reach all the way upto $15 Million. Alvarion, won’t take of until WIMAX takes off, so the stock is still ways away from breaking out. However, […]
Nokia (Nasdaq: NOK) has time and time again disappointed in the US market. It doesn’t seem like they have given up in the US but they sure are not doing anything to create a buzz here. They are spending money on advertising and other marketing gimmicks but not improving on their design. Feature wise Nokia has some of the best phones and you can’t argue against quality either. However, when it comes to design they get beat every time. Also, they have to realize that unlike Europe where you can just buy a phone and put a SIM chip in there the phone in the United States are sold by the carriers. They subsidize the phones but your success depends on being accepted by carriers. If you look at the pictures below, it seems like Nokia just isn’t playing nice with the carriers.
eBay (EBAY), Yahoo (YHOO), Google (GOOG), Apple (AAPL) all down significantly today.
