iRobot (Nasdaq: IRBT) is one of those companies you look at and feel like it might revolutionize the future for both Consumer and Military Robotics. The company does cutting edge work in the field of Robotics and has both consumer and military robots in its arsenal. Roomba vacuum cleaner is one of their consumer robots that vacuums carpets and the new Scooba washes your floors for you. They also have a number of military robots that are being used in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The announcement by Netgear at the 2006 CES of the Skype phone is huge. This is the biggest news to come out of CES so far. Introduction of a VOIP based WiFi phone was bound to happen but this caught everyone by surprise.

Alvarion is in a transition phase until WIMAX takes off. It is a known fact that this company has the know-how and the expertise to dominate the WIMAX sector. Although, we are still maybe a year away from WIMAX going mainstream, I think within the next 6 months we will start to see the hype gaining ground.
